A cruise social media website has been launched which allows holidaymakers to book with cruiselines as well as write up ship reviews and blog posts.
The site, socruise.com, is backed by a group of anonymous stakeholders and has two directors, including ‘key industry players’ in the cruise sector.
Cruise companies are being offered advertising opportunities on the site and the chance to create personalised marketing campaigns direct to site users, whose profiles will be on the site.
Users will be encouraged to write holiday reviews on their own cruise experiences and give ratings for ships, while there will also be news on the site.
The site also plans to launch online TV to showcase ships on the site and show cruisers’ videos of ships.
