Fred Olsen Cruise Lines has announced a further fuel supplement increase – the fifth rise in eight months.
The latest supplement of £6 per person per night for the first two people in a cabin is for all new bookings on cruises departing up to and including April 16 2009 – those cruises previously featured in the 2008/2009 third edition brochure.
For the first two people in a cabin there will be a maximum charge of £120 per person per cruise. For the third and fourth person in the cabins there will be a £2.50 per person per night, with a maximum charge of £50 per person per cruise.
The charges, which come as a result of rising fuel costs, become effective for all bookings taken from July 11.
The cruiseline first introduced a £2.50 supplement in December last year across all its cruises, which increased to £3.50 on May 1 this year, to £5 for 2008/2009 third-edition brochure cruises on June 10, and most recently, to £4 to all new bookings from July 1 for cruises in new 2009/2010 first-edition Worldwide brochure.
