Avalon Waterways is gearing up for a ‘strong’ 2018 as it launches its first mainstream TV advertising campaign and unveils its redesigned website with a new agent booking portal.
The line’s new Mekong-based ship Avalon Saigon has also gone on sale for late 2018 sailings.
Janet Parton head of trade sales said: “In improving our brochure and online booking all agents can now sell Avalon cruises.
“Agents can also personalise bookings with the option to pick one of 27 regional airports in the UK for customers to travel from.”
The cruise line will also launch its first mainstream TV advertising campaign from June 19 featuring a trade call to action across Sky, Channel 4 and ITV channel.
The campaign is targeted at the over 50s market and will run for six weeks.
Giles Hawke, chief executive of Avalon Waterways said: “We want to instil confidence into the cruise market and believe our TV campaign will do just that, driving first time river cruise customers to our agent partners.
The Avalon Saigon a Panorama Suite ship will sail along the Mekong from late 2018, with itineraries including the 13-day ‘Fascinating Vietnam, Cambodia and the Mekong’, starting from £5,302.
New Avalon agents can email agencysales@cosmos.co.uk to receive a login to access the website.
