Cruise specialist travel agency Readers Offers has reported profits after tax of more than £3 million for the financial year ending April 30, 2008, amid plans to expand the business further.
Turnover for the Colchester-based call centre specialist was more than £75 million up to April 30, 2008, in line with the company’s forecasts, while profits were ahead of target.
Readers Offers is the top selling agency worldwide for Cunard Line and Fred Olsen Cruise Lines and hopes to increase turnover this year to £110 million. Two months into this financial year, the company says it is ahead of target.
It also anticipates moving into larger premises in or around Colchester next year. It currently employs 73 staff and continues to look for extra staff to bolster the team. A senior management share option scheme has also been introduced.
