Celebrity Cruises has announced the release of a toolkit for agents designed to support their engagement with the LGBT community.
The kit features a communications guide, images and two videos with a comprehensive overview of the brand and the line’s newest ship Edge, which is due to launch in 2018.
It also features recommended itineraries such as the Chinese New Year 14-night sailing to China, Vietnam and Thailand or the chance to dance in the streets of Rio on the 14-night South America and Carnival sailing.
Director of sales Claire Stirrup said: “Celebrity Cruises has a long-standing commitment to supporting diversity.
“We have invested in and supported a number of initiatives as part of this and the development of the LGBT+ toolkit is an important next step.
“We are keen to provide our partners with the knowledge they need to market to the LGBT+ traveller and to ensure they have the tools in place to do so.
“We are keen to be the cruise line of choice for LGBT+ guests and are passionate about supporting agents in selling to this audience.
“The toolkit has been designed to be both informative and inspirational and we look forward to working with agents to continue this important area of training in the future.”
The dedicated toolkit follows on from recent sponsorship of Miami Pride and Digital Pride as well as supporting charities in the LGBT sector such as Opening Doors London.
