Two charged over Antigua honeymoon shootings

Two women have been charged in connection with the murder of  honeymoon couple Catherine and Ben Mullany in Antigua.

The charges are believed to relate to the theft of goods from the couple, who were shot in their cottage at Cocos Hotel on July 27 on the last day of their honeymoon.

The two women appeared at St John’s Magistrates Court in Antigua yesterday. Police were not able to name the women or give any further details.

More than 30 people have been questioned in relation to the shootings.

The couple were buried on Wednesday in a private service in Cilybebyll, South Wales, where they were married a month earlier.
