Travelodge has announced it is looking to grow its portfolio of hotels in North London with a further 11.
Sites it is looking to invest in include: Angel Islington, Barnet, Edgware/Mill Hill, Golders Green, Hillingdon, Ladbroke Grove, Northolt/Greenford, Pinner, Rickmansworth, Wembley Park and West Hendon.
This expansion of 11 new hotels could create around 220 new jobs across North London and would represent an investment of £55 million for third party suppliers, the budget chain said.
The expansion plans were revealed yesterday at the official opening ceremony of Travelodge’s 522nd hotel opening in Wood Green, in the borough of Haringey.
Wood Green Travelodge is the company’s 69th hotel in London and its first in the borough of Haringey.
It is the first of three openings for the company in North London this year.
The other Travelodge hotels scheduled to open this year include a 128 room hotel in Brent Cross, close to the shopping centre and a 102 room hotel in Harrow.
Combined these three hotels have created 85 new jobs within the community.
The trio of hotels all feature the next generation of the company’s ‘Travelodgical’ contemporary room design.
