Advantage accepts Hotels4U as authorised supplier

Bed bank Hotels4U has joined Advantage as an authorised supplier after an 18-month gap.

Advantage officially stopped selling Hotels4U’s product in April 2007 when it decided to deal only with bed banks that act as principal.

The move follows the recent reversal of Advantage’s decision after Medhotels dropped principal status. The consortium is now appointing bed banks that do not act as principals as ‘authorised’ rather than ‘preferred’ suppliers, which means they are sold by members but not actively promoted.

Advantage chief executive John McEwan said: “Following member feedback and negotiations with Hotels4U, we are delighted that we are in a position to place Hotels4U on our authorised list on the back of a strong commercial agreement., which includes payment through the Advantage Central Payments System and a robust indemnity policy for our members.”

Hotels4U.com sales and marketing director John Harding said: “This deal has allowed us to demonstrate the robust indemnity protection for Advantage members selling accommodation through us and we’re confident both agents and customers will benefit from the flexibility and value offered on our website.”
