Former Saga Cruises chief Robin Shaw was today confirmed in the new role of chief executive of Saga Travel.
The new role has been created following a restructure of the over-50s company’s travel business which sees the tour operations and cruise roles being combined.
In a notice to the London Stock Exchange today, Saga said that former tour operations managing director Jeannette Linfoot left the business at the end of December, as first reported last month by Travel Weekly.
Other changes to Saga’s group executive structure sees the former head of its retail broking service, Roger Ramsden, leave the company rather than take up a new role within the group as previously planned.
Saga chief executive Lance Batchelor said: “These changes provide us with a more focused executive team as we target and invest in growth in the Saga customer base to achieve our long-term ambitions.
“Roger and Jeanette leave with my warmest thanks for the significant contributions they have made to the business and I wish them both all the best for the future.”
