The Association of Cruise Experts has confirmed that the third annual Cruise Convention will be held at the port of Dover.
More than 450 agents are expected to attend the event from June 17 to 19.
For the first time, the convention will feature a series of business sessions from cruise experts and a Discovery Zone, where agents can learn about destinations. Those attending can use an online appointment service to book one-to-one time with cruise lines and exhibitors.
During the convention, agents will have the chance to visit Holland America Line’s Prinsedham, Fred Olsen’s Braemar, Crystal Cruises’ Crystal Symphony and Princess Cruises’ Tahitian Princess.
ACE business development director Andy Harmer said: “We know many agents will face a difficult year in 2009 and that’s why we’re holding business sessions giving practical advice from industry experts on how to grow the business.
“We are also focussing on the future of the industry – the niche markets, the growing number of destinations and business trends.”
