Advantage is actively recruiting a cruise consultant in order to help drive cruise sales through the consortium’s agents.
Commercial director Julia Lo Bue-Said said the consortium is currently interviewing candidates for the position with the hope of getting someone in place in the new year.
It is hoped whoever fills the roll will be able to capitalise on the growing popularity of cruise, which has seen a 26% increase in sales through the consortium over the first nine months of the year.
Lo Bue-Said said the person who fills the roll should be able to make inroads in the groups booking market. She added: “We have routes into the market and we can actively negotiate rates for groups.”
