Tradewinds bids to boost sales with launch of first dedicated programme

TRADEWINDS has launched its first dedicated brochure combining New Zealand with Australia and the South Pacific.

The programme is valid from January 1 2000 to March 31 2001 and features pre-packaged itineraries in New Zealand which can be paired with a number of stopovers in Australasia.

Contracts manager Robbie Orr said: “People planing a holiday in this region don’t generally turn to a worldwide brochure, so to increase sales we needed a dedicated brochure.

“The self-drive market is already big for New Zealand and is set to increase even more with the New Zealand Tourism Board’s new ‘100% Pure New Zealand’ campaign,” she added.

Tradewinds features a six-day North Island self-drive tour from £189 and a five-day South Island itinerary from £149, including car hire and accommodation.

Other product on offer are three to five-day independent mini-stays which include accommodation and coach travel. A four-day option from Christchurch to Queenstown, Mount Cook and Milford Sound in the south costs from £239 including transport, accommodation and some excursions.

There is also a two-week coach tour with half-board prices from £1,389 (£2,199 including Singapore Airlines flights from London or Manchester); lodge stays from £77 per person per night; three-night city stays from £84 per person; and pre-bookable excursions from Auckland and Christchurch.
