Saga Travel has unveiled five new tours including one to “the ends of the Earth” in Patagonia, plus trips in China and Greece.
The operator’s Patagonia: A Tour to the End of the Earth itinerary takes in Buenos Aires, Tierra del Fuego, Torres del Paine, the Perito Moreno glacier, plus a Lake Rico cruise. The 14-night tour, including flights, starts at £3,899 and can be extended to add a four-night fjords cruise.
Saga’s 14-night Immerse Yourself in China tour includes a visit to the Summer Palace, the Forbidden City and the hutongs of Beijing, the Great Wall, the Terracotta Warriors, a tai chi lesson, a Lake Yuecheng cruise and a panda experience. Prices start from £2,899 including flights.
The 10-night Undiscovered Greece tour, from £1,199 with flights, includes Athens and the Byzantine cities of Ioannina and Thessaloniki.
Other new tours from the over‑55s specialist include the nine-night Copenhagen to Berlin, from £1,649, and 16-night From the Danube to the Dalmatian Coast, from £2,349.
All five new tours, the first of which departs in October, will feature in Saga’s new Exclusive Preview brochure, due out this week, and in its winter-sun campaign from April.
Joe Sutcliffe, head of travel product, said: “At Saga we don’t just like to follow the beaten track, we like to beat a new one of our own. We want to help our customers keep doing the things they love, whether that’s visiting a much‑loved regular holiday spot through to trying something genuinely new and different.
“Whatever our age, our appetite for travel is not diminished; in fact, it’s often the opposite, with people taking more holidays a year than at any other time in their lives.”
