A Glasgow airport hotel has been expanded with 56 new bedrooms to meet high demand.
The Courtyard by Marriott now has 170 rooms, including a new dedicated crew room for airline staff.
Owner Cairn Group has made a multi-million pound cash injection in the airport’s only four-star hotel which opened in 2016 after a high profile conversion and rebrand.
The property is one of only four Courtyard by Marriott hotels in Scotland, and the first in the UK – and second in Europe – to carry the latest 2.1 Courtyard design.
Hotel general manager Kuldeep Badesha said: “An incredibly strong year of business since launching resulted in the need for additional bedrooms as demand was so high.
“We’ve been very fortunate to receive further investment which sees us now operating an ultra-modern 170-bedroom property, right by one of the country’s busiest airports.
“With brand new facilities, ample capacity and unrivalled features boosting guest experience which only the Courtyard by Marriott brand is known for, we’re in a fantastic position and certainly on course for a positive 2018 and future growth.”
