Club Travel 2000 plans controlled growth for new programme

INDEPENDENT operator Club Travel 2000 has promised not to hike capacity after expanding its programme to include Majorca, Minorca and the Algarve.

Marketing manager John Cooper said the operation will go for controlled growth instead. “Customer demand has prompted us to introduce these areas but we are not adding capacity that we cannot sustain. This is all about controlled expansion.”

Hotels, apartments, villas and all-inclusive options are all on offer in the new destinations. The operator has also dedicated a double-page spread in the brochure to golfing packages which are new for 2000.

They are available in Tenerife, Costa del Sol and the Algarve while learn-to-play packages have been introduced in Minorca.

New flights include Bournemouth, Exeter and Humberside to Tenerife while Malaga services have been introduced from Glasgow. Early-booking offers include two weeks for the price of one.

Prices in the brochure lead in at £264 for seven nights’ self-catering in Gran Canaria.

Meanwhile, the operator has sent its top 100 agents the brochure on CD-Rom.
