Lowcostbeds.com and Resorthoppa are giving travel agents incentives to book accommodation and transfers together.
The group is offering bonus commission to agents who book accommodation with transfers by April 19 through lowcostbedsagents.com.
The move forms part of a concerted campaign to boost ‘bundled up’ sales – bookings of hotels and resort transfers through the brands, both owned by The Lowcost Travel Group.
It follows the group’s acquisition of transfer specialist Resorthoppa earlier this year.
Transfer prices featured on lowcostbedsagents.com are also on average 5% cheaper than on resorthoppaagents.com, according to trade sales director Tim Buckman. “They are cheaper than on resorthoppaagents.com as we subsidise the price with the sale of the accommodation,” he said.
Buckman is hoping agents will be attracted by the cheaper rates and being able to work with one supplier to book both beds and transfers.
Part of the group’s overall strategy is to increase its profile as a provider of full dynamic packages, rather than just beds.
