Blue Bay Travel has appointed Greg Armstrong as product management director.
The former general manager of operator Touchdown Holidays has joined from Resort Marketing, where he has been business development director since 2011.
He said: “I am ecstatic to be joining Blue Bay Travel. Having worked closely with many of the staff there as well as liaising directly with Stuart Wilson for the past seven years, it is like joining a team I already regard as family.
“I am very much looking forward to working alongside the team at Blue Bay and to driving the product department forward. I have a very keen passion for discovering new destinations, hotels and opportunities and taking them to market.”
The appointment follows a period of growth for the Staffordshire long haul and Caribbean specialist agency which has seen the number of employees reach nearly 100 and the office space triple in size.
In 2017, the company secured a £6.5 million investment from LDC, a private equity firm that’s part of the Lloyds Banking Group.
Blue Bay Travel’s managing director Maxine Rowland said: “We are very excited to welcome Greg to the team. He will bring to the table new strategies utilising his experience on both sides of the industry to open up new destinations and to add to and expand on destinations that are already popular for Blue Bay.”
