ETOA reaches 1,000 member milestone

The European Tourism Association, ETOA, has reached the milestone of 1,000 members.

Australian tour operator APT and Irish country estate Mount Juliet are the latest companies to join the association.

ETOA chief executive Tom Jenkins said: “Product diversification is important. In a competitive marketplace, tour operators, hotels and attractions need to offer a greater range of experiences to visitors. APT offers a wide and increasing range of products to long haul visitors to Europe. The Mount Juliet estate is the epitome of a tourism business maximising its portfolio, offering country experiences alongside luxury accommodation and fine dining”.

Mario Bodini, ETOA chairman, added: “ETOA is enjoying dynamic growth. We are delighted to welcome these two members for this milestone, and look forward to making their voice heard now and in the future”.

Steve Reynolds, chief executive at APT, said: “We are delighted to be joining as ETOA grows to over 1,000 members and are looking forward to the networking opportunities. As our business in Europe increases and becomes more complex, we are pleased to have ETOA on our side.”

Christine Murphy, general manager of Mount Juliet Estate, added: “It is important for us as a team to meet business partners and clients who will enhance our wonderful country.”

The ETOA membership of tour operators, online intermediaries, hoteliers, tourist boards, attractions and other suppliers has grown year on year.
