Dragons’ Den entrepreneur Levi Roots is to speak at the fourth Advantage Focus Champions Conference in Belfast on June 1-2.
Roots offered a stake in his Reggae Reggae Sauce business in return for £50,000 when he appeared on the famous TV show in 2007.
Roots had been using the sauce made to his grandmother’s ‘secret’ recipe, on his family’s barbecue food stall at the Notting Hill Carnival since 1991. Sainsbury’s decided to stock the sauce in 600 stores and more than 2 million bottles have now been sold in the UK.
Roots will be talking about his success as an entrepreneur and his approach to business at the conference.
Advantage director of corporate Ken McLeod said: “Levi is a dynamic entrepreneur who achieved much, early in his career. He will likely inspire our Focus Champions who will appreciate his young, entrepreneurial spirit and fun approach.”
The annual Advantage Focus Champions Conference is attended by key contacts from the 80 Focus Partnership members.
