Norwegian is on a recruitment drive in Ireland for 40 pilots due to continued expansion.
The low-cost airline aims to take on captains and first officers, who hold Boeing 737 operational certificates.
This will almost double the current number of flight crew operating from the carrier’s Dublin base.
The move to add more flying follows the announcement of an expanded 2019 summer schedule with 40 weekly transatlantic departures from March 2019 from Ireland to the US and Canada, an increase of 37%. This includes a new route to Hamilton, Toronto.
Norwegian also serves the European cities of Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen and Helsinki direct from the Irish capital.
Chief human resources officer, Helga Bollmann Leknes, said: “Norwegian offers pilots a rewarding career with a diverse route network which spans both long haul and short haul destinations flying the latest Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
“We look forward to welcoming qualified pilots who want to work for an airline that recognises the vital contribution that they make to our business during this continued phase of expansion in Ireland.”
Norwegian currently employs more than 2,700 pilots across bases in key European cities and the US.
