ABTA Travel Convention to offer ’30 minute MBA’

Two business experts will deliver a 30-minute MBA-style guide to business and leadership at the ABTA Travel Convention in October.

Richard Reeves, director of think-tank Demos and John Knell are co-founders of Intelligence Agency, a strategy and research consultancy. Its clients include BT, Accenture, Sky, PricewaterhouseCoopers, PepsiCo, Orange and the BBC.

The two speakers, who are authors of The 80-minute MBA: Everything You’ll Never Learn at Business School, will offer delegates a condensed 30-minute MBA (Masters of Business Administration) at the convention.

It is designed to open delegates’ minds to different ways of thinking about leadership, sustainability and culture.

ABTA chief executive Mark Tanzer said: “There is no doubt that business is becoming more pressured and the quicker great learning can be delivered, the better. This version of the 80-minute MBA, developed especially for The Travel Convention, will be an injection of inspiration, creative thinking and dynamic approaches that will help us see the world of business differently.”

Former chancellor of the exchequer Lord Norman Lamont will also speak at the convention, which takes place in Barcelona from October 6 to 8.
