Former Fairmont and Raffles Hotels president and chief operating officer Chris Cahill has been named as one of two new deputy chief executives of AccorHotels.
Cahill joined the French hospitality giant two years ago as chief executive of luxury brands following the takeover of Fairmont by AccorHotels.
He assumes the role of deputy chief executive responsible for hotel operations.
Chief financial officer Jean-Jacques Morin has been appointed deputy chief executive responsible for finance, communications and strategy.
The company’s chairman and chief executive Sebastien Bazin said: “The appointments of Chris Cahill and Jean-Jacques Morin as group deputy CEOs alongside deputy CEO Sven Boinet are intended to further improve our operational efficiency and the quality of delivery of the group’s strategy.
“Following the disposal of the majority of our real estate assets, our organisation now mirrors the challenges of an asset-light model serving the group’s customers and partners and our drive to continue the roll-out of the group’s growth drivers.”
