Industry veteran Jennifer Cox is stepping down as chief executive of Millennium & Copthorne Hotels after just three months in the top job.
M&C said that Fox and the company’s board “mutually agreed” for her to step down. having joined the business on June 19.
Her departure was announced today with no other explanation other than to say: “Further updates will be provided in due course.”
The company said in a notice to the London Stock Exchange: “The board has determined that Mr Tan Kian Seng, the current group chief of staff and former interim group chief executive officer prior to Ms Fox’s appointment, will resume the position as interim group chief executive officer as from 28 September 2018.”
Fox joined M&C earlier this year following a 30 year career in the hotel sector in Australia, Hong Kong, the UK and Europe, the United States, Canada and the Middle East.
She was most recently president of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and previously held senior positions at InterContinental Hotels Group and Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
