Abta is looking to recruit “an established leader” with a “proven record of commercial success” to be its new head of travel insurance.
The association is reviewing its travel insurance product and assessing additional “market and product opportunities” through the newly-created role.
The successful applicant will “have a vision for what can be achieved” and “the appetite to take this new opportunity from concept development to success”, a job advert for the role reads.
They will also recognise “the opportunities to do things differently in a market that has experienced relatively limited innovation”.
The closing date for applications is October 12.
John de Vial, Abta’s head of financial protection, said: “Abta has been reviewing this product, and assessing additional market and product opportunities.
“We’re recruiting a new head of travel insurance to take this forward, and welcome applicants from experienced leaders in this field.”
Abta, which has been involved in travel insurance for around 20 years, replaced AbtaSure with the Citybody Suretravel scheme on July 1 2018.
An Abta spokeswoman said: “We’re reviewing our travel insurance offering as we do with any commercial arrangement.”
