Wendy Wu Tours has confirmed that managing director Mark Bloxham has left the business and former Thomas Cook chief executive Manny Fontenla-Novoa has been brought in as a non-executive director.
The destination specialist said Bloxham’s remit was to grow the firm’s digital business and this has been completed just a year as managing director.
Wendy Wu, founder of Wendy Wu Tours, said: “Mark was appointed to grow the company’s digital business, a remit that has now been completed. We wish him well for his future career.”
Wu will assume the role of interim managing director, supported by senior leadership team.
And she has brought Fontenla-Novoa onboard as non-executive director on its global board of directors.
“Manny has enormous expertise, knowledge and wisdom, and has always been a great business mentor to me.
“Manny brings a plethora of industry experience to Wendy Wu Tours and we are all so thrilled to have Manny on the board,” said Wu.
Wendy Wu said it is in the process of recruiting for a new managing director.
