Reasons to love theme parks? As a holidaymaker, you have everything – thrills, entertainment, food, shopping – in one place. And it’s all clean, safe, family-friendly fun.
If you’re an agent, you’re looking at family and group bookings, with lots of extras to boost commission, from multi-tickets to hotels and car hire.
And with huge publicity machines behind the big US parks, and many larger European ones gaining traction, it’s a reliable revenue stream – as long as there are families, theme parks will be on the agenda.
On this page you’ll find Travel Weekly’s most recent articles on theme parks, plus the best of the web, photos from flickr, and fellow agents’ reviews of theme park hotels from Gazetteers.com.

Theme park hotel reviews from Gazetteers.com
Clarion Universal Hotel
This was my first time at the Clarion. The room we had was fabulous, it was a mini suite with a lounge area and kitchenette area. Both the bar and the restaurant served big portions of food with great service. The pool and the hot tubs were fantastic after a long day out and I am booking to go back.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Orlando
I stayed at this hotel and it was fab! I wasn’t sure if we would feel out of place because I had a two year old, but the staff couldn’t do enough for ud. The location of the hotel was great, only one stop on the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. After staying in such a lovely hotel I have been spoiled and I can’t wait to go again next year.
PortAventura, Salou
I have recently returned from the hotel PortAventura for the third time and it has got even better. The hotel is one minute walk away from the parks and there are about seven pools to choose from and access to the beach. The entertainment at the hotel is good for children and the food is very good quality. The hotel is excellent and I would go back year after year.
