Advantage Travel Centres has appointed Willie Stewart of Stewart Travel as chairman and Ron Marks of Baldwins Travel as vice-chairman of the organisation at the first meeting of the new board of directors.
Earlier this month, three new non-executive directors were elected to the Advantage board.
Tickets Anywhere managing director Bryony Hordern and Baldwins Travel managing director Ron Marks represent members with no more than six outlets, and whose business is predominantly related to leisure. The Travel Company managing director Ken McNab represents members whose business is predominantly related to business travel.
Advantage Travel Centres chief executive John McEwan said: “At a time of change and uncertainty within the industry it is encouraging to know that the Advantage board is led by two members with considerable experience within Advantage, and the industry overall.”
