Ocean Village launches new TV ad campaign

Casual cruiseline Ocean Village is launching a series of TV adverts as part of a £500,000 marketing campaign for its winter cruises in the Caribbean and next summer in the Mediterranean.

Thirty-second adverts promoting two-week cruises in the Caribbean will run on GMTV and Multichannel, plus ITV1 North, starting on September 14. Additional ads on ITV Scotland will feature seven-night Mediterranean cruises with flights from Glasgow.

The adverts follow successful TV campaigns in January and June this year, and will feature the voice of Sarah Parish, star of BBC series The Mistresses. They will run alongside an online display campaign on key cruise and travel sites throughout September and October. The campaign will target 300,000 past passengers and people who have enquired about cruises via mailings and emails.

Approximately 240 agencies will receive branded point-of-sale material for in-store promotions that supports the TV visuals.

Ocean Village head of marketing communications Gill Haynes said there was a 50% increase in web visitors and a rise in bookings during the previous campaigns.
