Fred Olsen Cruise Lines is hoping to boost pre-Christmas business by offering passengers who make a booking a hamper worth up to £100.
The offer coincides with the launch of a mini-brochure featuring longer pre-Christmas voyages to the Canary Islands and Caribbean, one-week cruises across the Channel to visit the Christmas markets, and two short-break trips.
Cruises eligible for the free £100 hamper include a 12-night music-themed ArtsClub voyage from Portsmouth to the Canary Islands on Boudicca departing December 6, which costs from £736 per person. There is also a 12-night Caribbean flycruise on Braemar, priced from £1,099 per person including flights.
Passengers who book a Christmas markets cruise will receive a hamper worth £50 per booking. Cruises on offer include a seven-night voyage from Dover to Copenhagen, Hamburg and Amsterdam on Balmoral departing December 12, which costs from £429 per person.
Fred Olsen general sales manager Lol Nichols said bringing all the pre-Christmas cruises together in one brochure will be useful for agents trying to increase sales in the lead up to the festive season. “Hopefully the hamper incentive will help to encourage bookings,” he added.
