Ramblers Walking Holidays has brought out its first TV advertisements as part of a turn-of-year multi-media campaign.

The walking specialist tour operator’s campaign focuses on immersive experiences with images depicting the diversity of destinations it offers.

The campaign theme is ‘The World is More Beautiful on Foot’ with experiences such as exploring local culture, hiking and discovering new destinations highlighted.

The campaign started on December 27 on Channel 4’s All 4 On Demand and the ITV Hub as well as in national newspapers, other print media and online.

Head of marketing Gemma Chase said: “We have been offering exciting and immersive holidays for over 70 years and our new campaign shows that this is just as relevant for today’s adventure-seeker as it was when the company was first established.

“Our clients range from travellers in their 30s and 40s right up to spritely octogenarians – all of whom are looking for truly memorable, experiential travel adventures.  By exploring on foot, you get a unique insight into a destination, from fabulous scenery and iconic routes to the authentic culture of local villages and cities alike.  There is also the added advantage of the fantastic shared experiences to be gained by travelling as part of a group.”

New escorted group tours for 2019 include hiking Sicily’s active volcano on the Walking Under Mount Etna itinerary; crossing the Andes from Peru to Argentina on the Across the Andes and hiking through the jungle on A Journey Through Malaysia and Borneo.
