TV broadcaster and marine biologist Monty Halls will be a keynote speaker at Advantage Travel Partnership’s 2019 Cruise Conference next month.
Delegates will hear Halls talk about his life story and his experiences from past expeditions around the world.
The former Royal Marines Officer worked for Nelson Mandela during the peace process in the early 1990s and has visited some of the most challenging environments around the globe.
Before Halls speaks at the conference at the Novotel Hotel in Southampton, delegates will be able to go on board MSC Bellissima on Sunday March 3.
Advantage Travel Partnership will also be handing out awards at the sixth dedicated cruise conference, which was postponed in October.
Senior commercial manager Claire Brighton said: “Monty Halls is a fantastic speaker and we’re delighted he can join us to talk about the destinations he has travelled to and the importance of looking after our world and environment.
“The cruise industry is important to our members, as it is a sector that continues to grow, this conference will allow our cruise champions and members that are new to the cruise business to be inspired, develop greater knowledge and new contacts to grow their cruise businesses and stay ahead of their competition.
“The opportunity to see a new ship, MSC Bellissima, on its first visit to the UK will certainly be a big draw and a highlight for delegates attending.”
