Travel Weekly’s first digital-only edition coming December 18

Travel Weekly will show it is one step ahead on the technology stakes next week when it publishes its first digital-only edition.

The issue will be emailed to subscribers and mailing list members on December 18. It will also be available on the Travel Weekly homepage.

You can read a review of the year, watch video of leading travel industry bosses give their predictions for 2010, as well as see exclusive footage of the
new TV campaigns.

TWgroup chief executive Simon Ferguson said: “Travel Weekly has always been at the forefront of innovation and the digital edition will prove to be
no different.

“Digital magazines are able to mix article and multi-media content, therefore the edition will be far more interactive. It will use embedded video links to preview exclusive footage of forthcoming peaks advertising campaigns.

“It will also review the year and feature interactive competitions,” he said.

The digital edition will be the last Travel Weekly issue this year, with the next issue appearing in both paper and digital formats on January 8.

It follows the first digital-only issue of sister magazine Travolution, which was emailed to subscribers on December 7.
