and Jet2holidays have released a video showing the painting of the livery on the 100th aircraft in their fleet – recently delivered from Boeing.

The next generation Boeing 737-800 is the last of 34 to be delivered from the US aircraft manufacturer, and it underwent a two-day paint job at Airbourne Colours, Bournemouth.

The time-lapse footage shows a team of 11 painting the aircraft, before the Jet2holidays starburst and branding are added to the fuselage, fin, and winglets.

Steve Heapy, chief executive of and Jet2holidays, said: “The arrival of the 100th aircraft into our fleet is a momentous occasion and enables us to continue increasing capacity, meaning we can offer our customers more choice and flexibility than ever before when it comes to getting to Europe, the Canary Islands and the Mediterranean.

“Now that it has been painted with our famous Jet2holidays branding, it is instantly recognisable and looks fantastic both on the interior and the exterior.

“The aircraft has entered service and is flying customers to and from their holiday destinations.”

Kevin Prince, production director at Airbourne Colours, said: “It requires a lot of hard work and attention to detail, but there is a great sense of pride and achievement when the aircraft is finished.”
