Globe Travel Awards 2010 sets new voting record

The Globe Travel Awards 2010 has set a new record after 62,000 votes were cast.

The figure trumped last year’s previous record number of votes of 52,000 and showed that those taking home a Globe can be sure it is well earned and is backed  the backing of industry colleagues.

With voting closed, companies anxious to find out if they have won an award will have to wait until January 19 when the results are announced at the awards ceremony in Grosvenor House, London.

TWgroup chief executive Simon Ferguson said: “After a tough year for the industry, agents are keener than ever to show their support for key suppliers.

“Winning a globe is a high point for any company, but doing it with the approval of so many people in the trade makes it extra special. We look forward to announcing the winners on what will prove to be a very special night.”

Tickets are still available for the awards ceremony, to find out more and make a booking, go to globetravelawards.co.uk.
