Gold Medal and Travel 2 have joined the Association of Touring & Adventure Suppliers, with the latter offering agents £30 in T2 Rewards for every touring booking they make.
The sister brands, which have been increasing their focus on the sector over the last 18 months, jointly become the 23rd associate member of Atas, which was formed in April 2017 to help raise trade awareness and drive sales of touring and adventure products.
Joining Atas will help the trade-only dnata Travel-owned brands connect with the association’s 28 supplier members.
Lisa McAuley, managing director of the two brands in Europe, said: “As the touring and adventure sector goes from strength to strength, it is vitally important that agents can stay up to date with all the new products available.
“Joining the Atas family gives us a great platform to maximise our training efforts and boost awareness of what we do.
“We look forward to working alongside the other Atas members to help engage agents and shake up understanding of the sector.”
Travel 2 has a dedicated Incredible Journeys touring brochure, with a programme including product from more than 80 touring specialists, including a number of Atas members.
There is also a dedicated team within the Travel 2 reservations department offering specialist knowledge to support agents.
Meanwhile, Gold Medal has increased escorted and self-drive tours in its long-haul portfolio.
Both brands will have a presence at the Atas Conference on September 18-19, which is expected to attract 350 delegates. The £30 T2 Rewards incentive is running indefinitely.
