Last chance to enter and vote for this year’s Agent Achievement Awards

Agents and suppliers have just one week left to ensure their entries and votes are counted for this year’s new-look Travel Weekly Agent Achievement Awards (AAAs).

The 2019 AAAs feature a range of new awards, including for the UK’s best leisure travel apprentice, agencies specialising in touring and adventure holidays and those that have been operating for no more than two years.

New regional categories have been introduced in the supplier‑voted awards, with agents in the Republic of Ireland and the East Midlands and East Anglia receiving standalone honours for the first time.

A special Roll of Honour will also be published to thank all suppliers who submit votes to reward their best agency partners.

The Agent Achievement Awards celebrates its 24th anniversary in 2019 and will take place at London’s Park Plaza Westminster Bridge hotel on Thursday, July 11.

The deadline for entries and votes is Thursday, April 11, after which shortlists will be drawn up for those categories that are decided by panels of expert judges from across the industry.

The new and improved AAAs form part of a year of celebration for Travel Weekly, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a range of activities and enhancements throughout 2019.

Lucy Huxley, editor-in-chief of Travel Weekly Group, said: “We have been delighted by the positive response to our new-look Agent Achievement Awards and our inclusion of new categories to ensure the AAAs continues to represent the absolute pinnacle of success for travel agents in the UK and Ireland.

“I would urge all agents to put themselves forward in the self-nominated awards, and also encourage all suppliers to make sure they reciprocate the support they receive from their valued agents by casting their votes.”
