Former Midcounties Co-operative Travel head of digital and Cruise.co.uk marketing director Sukie Rapal has joined Fred Olsen Travel.
Rapal joins the holiday company as head of river cruises to develop and grow its river business.
She told Travel Weekly: “We have a great team set up, a strong portfolio of products and we will be trade focused. The most recent products added to the portfolio are Pandaw and American Cruise Lines. We will package the products and become a tour operator in the UK for the brands we represent.”
Part of her remit will be to add more river cruise products to Fred Olsen Travel’s portfolio. Rapa said: “We want to become the river people that you can come to, cutting out all the hassle for agents with currency and paperwork.
“This is just the beginning as more river ships are being built. Our priority is ensuring that we have a programme and the tools in place for our agent partners, including a trade portal, incentives and educationals.”
Rapal took up the position on April 2, and her first day on the job was on a mega fam on board Amadeus Queen in Rotterdam.
