Pussycat Doll to teach dance on Royal Caribbean ship

A former Pussycat Doll will host a series of exclusive dance classes on three Royal Caribbean International sailings departing from Southampton this summer.

Kimberly Wyatt, who was part of The Pussycat Dolls for seven years, has created the classes for Explorer of the Seas’ sailings on July 21, August 4 and August 18.

The free-of-charge onboard classes are based on Wyatt’s Bring Your Heels dance workshops.

Wyatt previously worked as a dancer on Explorer of the Seas and Legend of the Seas from 1999 to 2000.

She said: “I began my career onboard a Royal Caribbean ship, so I am incredibly excited to be returning to host my very own dance classes.

“I’ll be running a few classes on each sailing to make sure everyone who wants to join in, can.

“These classes will attract the next generation of dancers and kids as well. I wanted to create something that is perfect for all ages.”

Wyatt was on the line’s new Quantum Ultra-class ship Spectrum of the Seas during its repositioning sailing from Malaga to Barcelona last month alongside Royal Caribbean staff.

Prices for the 14-night Mediterranean Adventure sailing on Explorer of the Seas, departing from Southampton on July 21, 2019, leads in at £1,299.

Ben Bouldin, Royal Caribbean’s associate vice president and managing director in UK & Ireland, said: “This first-at-sea experience is another way we’re providing added value to guests – something we’re committed to doing at every opportunity.”

Agents can win Bring Your Heels dancewear by filming themselves copying a dance routine based on jazz and swing designed by Wyatt and posting a clip on social media.

The line will release footage of Wyatt’s routine on its social media channels over the next few weeks.

To enter the competition, agents must copy the dance and upload it to their own social media channels using the hashtag #BringYourHeels and tagging in @RoyalCaribbeanUK.

Details of how to enter a second competition to win a year’s gym membership and a set of gym clothes will be revealed on Facebook and Club Royal on May 13.
