Directors buy in to travel representation and marketing firm

Senior directors have acquired an 80% shareholding in travel PR, marketing and representation firm KBC PR & Marketing for an undisclosed sum.

The move comes as the 21-year-old travel and tourism business looks to build for the future.

Sussex-based KBC was founded in 1998 by Kate Burgess-Craddy and historically developed a specialism in the North American market.

Current clients include Destination British Columbia, Destination DC & the Capital Region USA, Explore Georgia, The Great American West, the Florida Keys & Key West, the Leisure Pass Group, Loews Hotels, Travel Alberta, the US Travel Association, Utah Office of Tourism and the Virginia Tourism Corporation.

Managing director Chris Woodbridge-Cox, trade representation director Lisa Cooper, PR director David Ezra and financial controller Lynn Lashbrook have now joined Burgess-Craddy as owners of the company.

She said: “Having created and then steadily grown KBC over the past 20 years, I’m now so happy to be able to give the senior team a chance to participate in the ownership of the company.”

Woodbridge-Cox added: “I’m delighted to be joining my senior colleagues in taking a stake in such a well-respected and successful company.

“We have a highly experienced and professional team at KBC, and they work with fantastic clients. We will continue to offer them the bespoke, personalised service they have come to expect from us, while also expanding into new areas as we develop and evolve the business to meet the needs of the changing travel and communications landscape.

“It’s ‘business as usual’ and we are all very excited about the future.”
