A football match in memory of Chloe Rutherford and Liam Curry – who lost their lives in 2017’s Manchester Arena bombing – raised more than £4,200.
Westoe Travel sponsored Team Chloe, as Chloe had been an apprentice travel agent with the South Shields agency.
More funds are due to be collected and the money will go to The Chloe and Liam Together Forever Trust, which was set up after the bombing to help young people with grants for training, auditions and qualifications.
The match on Sunday (May 26) between Team Chloe and Team Liam was at Harton and Westoe Colliery Welfare Football Club ground in South Shields, and the players were family and friends of the pair, who died in the attack on May 22 2017.
Agency boss Graeme Brett said that attendance was slightly lower than originally expected because hundreds of Sunderland FC fans were at Wembley that day for the play-off final.
Many of them had travelled south on coaches organised by Westoe Travel.
The next fundraisers for the Chloe and Liam Together Forever Trust will be a golf day on June 7 and a ball at the Hilton Gateshead hotel on June 8.
