Flight only operator Avro has increased its flight capacity to Turkey by 100% for summer 2010.
The operator is increasing capacity out of Gatwick and Manchester and introducing flights from Luton, Birmingham, East Midlands, Newcastle and Glasgow. Capacity across the destination will top 200,000 seats.
Avro managing director Michael Vinales said: “Our decision to significantly expand our flying programme to Turkey means that we will be one of the largest – if not the largest – flight only tour operators to the destination for next summer.
“This increase follows feedback from our best supporting agents and is in line with demand we’ve seen throughout 2009, which has propelled the destination to our current top spot.
“The success of our Gatwick and Manchester programme with multiple daily flights has been nothing short of phenomenal and we are confident we will be able to announce even further increases in capacity in the lead-up and during the summer season.”
Vinales said Turkey was becoming a popular short break destination. “This is why we are flying to some gateways every day of the week and even twice daily to offer the ultimate flexibility,” he added.
