Conservative MP John Penrose has been confirmed as the new tourism minister.
His full list of responsibilities has not been revealed, as the rest of the ministerial team at the renamed Department for Culture, Olympics, Media and Sport is yet to be appointed.
It is thought Penrose could have the same responsibilities held by Tobias Ellwood, which were tourism, gambling and horseracing.
Before the election, Penrose was a shadow minister at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills. He has been the
Conservative MP for Weston-Super-Mare since 2005.
Penrose will report into Jeremy Hunt, the new Secretary of State for Culture, Olympics, Media and Sport.
