Agency commission is being hiked to 30% by Phoenix Holidays in an effort to boost last minute sales of river cruises.

The heighted rate applies to sales of departures in June and July and comes with a £20 per passenger incentive to individual agents who make the booking.

The operator, part of the Take Me Too group of companies, is running the double trade incentive in advance of its 2011 brochure launch at the end of the month.
The move coincides with Arron Mitchell being appointed as the company’s first head of agency sales.

Phoenix is backing sales through agents with posters for window displays, branded email alerts and training.
