Si Morris-Green joins newly launched Fusion Cruises

The Travel Network Group’s former marketing director Si Morris-Green has joined Sussex-based online travel agency Fusion Cruises.

Morris-Green joins the business as it relaunches as an online cruise specialist agency.

He will work as a director alongside owners Harry Lightfoot and Steve Cheal, who both run sister company Fusion Holidays.

Morris-Green plans to add two more sales staff to Fusion Cruises’ current team of four.

He said: “We are looking for really strong cruise ambassadors – people that are passionate about the cruise industry.

“We do not want to be just another cruise agency, we want to get into that educational piece. We want these sales staff to immerse themselves in the cruise industry.”

Fusion Cruises has set-up a scheme to reward customers who recommend the agency to a friend.

They will receive a £25 high street voucher of their choice, while the Fusion Cruises customer who made the recommendation will be rewarded with either a free upgrade, free tour excursion, airport lounge pass or a discount.

Fusion Cruises will also host small dinners with customers in a bid to promote engagement with its client base and do webinars.

“Webinars are used in the B2B world,” Morris-Green said. “But we are going to bring them into the B2C world.”

He also added: “[Fusions Cruises] is not going to be aggressive. We are going to try and get under the bonnet and really understand both the cruise customer and non-cruise customer who is considering taking a cruise.”

Fusion Cruises is also set to host a cruise show in Fontwell in West Sussex in January.

Morris-Green will continue to run his own travel business consultancy Evolve alongside Fusion Cruises.

He set up Evolve after spending three months on gardening leave after leaving The Travel Network Group in February.
