Electronic cruise documents have started to be introduced by P&O Cruises.
Instead of sending out shore excursion booklets, tickets and all the pre-cruise information in paper form, passengers have the option to receive the documents in pdf format by email.
The information is available by email from 12 weeks before sailing against the printed copy which is sent six weeks before.
The company’s head of brand marketing Philip Price said: “Going entirely paperless is of great benefit to the environment and our ‘Go Green’ initiative enables passengers to play their part in this.
“In turn it also allows passengers to receive their pre-cruise information twice as early and thus build the excitement for their cruise.”
