Activities company Dosomethingdifferent.com has recruited Lee Burns from Funway Holidays as sales manager.
He will take charge of promoting product across the UK travel trade as well as managing relationships with key accounts.
He will also be responsible for agent and staff training, assisting in contracting and new product development.
Oliver Brendon, chief executive and founder of parent company ATD Travel Services, said: “Dosomethingdifferent.com is wholly focused on the trade and sales via agents are up over 100% compared to 2009, predominantly from independent and home-working agents. We plan to accelerate this growth next year.”
Burns, formerly a product manager looking after the US, Canada and the Caribbean at Funway, said: “I am looking forward to working on such an exciting brand and growing it further by introducing it to all distribution channels possible, within the trade sector.”
