Travel agency Diversity Travel is due to come to market for a sale next year, according to sources familiar with the situation.
The Manchester-based business which specialises in the not-for-profit sector, has been working with financial adviser GCA Altium in the last few months, but is yet to pull the trigger on its sale process as it awaits to get more clarity on Brexit.
Diversity Travel turned over £7.9m in the year ended March 2018, up 11% from the previous year, according to a Companies House filing. Profit before tax was £1.7m.
It launched a subsidiary in the US in late 2017 to service the country’s charity and academic client base.
A number of travel management companies have been acquired in recent years.
Reed & MacKay has bought six businesses since its takeover by Inflexion in 2016, including the purchase of Ickenham Travel Group’s Business Travel Direct division in July, Concierge Travel in February and Hillgate Travel last May, among others.
As Reed & MacKay does not have a presence in the charity sector, it is less likely to show an interest in Diversity Travel, the source said.
Diversity Travel and GCA Altium declined to comment.
