Luxury tour operator ITC Travel Group has unveiled Spectate, a new brand specialising in tailor-made trips to watch sporting events around the world.
As well as holidays to watch events such as Formula 1 races or cricket tours, Spectate can offer premium tickets, personalised excursions and luxury hotels.
The new portfolio amalgamates those of ITC Sports Travel and Horse Racing Abroad, which have been absorbed by Spectate.
Alex Catton, head of sports at ITC Sports Travel, becomes head of sports at Spectate.
He said: “Watching live sport captivates and inspires like no other, and our business is all about crafting the ultimate spectating experience at the very top events across the globe.
“This new identity also encapsulates the exciting ways we’re moving forward – including a brand-new brochure, a fantastic improved website and some seriously outstanding merchandise and extras we’re delighted to be offering on upcoming tours.”
Catton graduated from Manchester University with a degree in sports management and coached in the UK and the US before moving into the sports travel industry. Before ITC, he was UK and European tour manager for Complete Sports Solutions in Chester.
The operator is currently offering packages to see matches at the rugby world cup in Japan, including the quarter finals, semis and finals.
For cricket fans, a 19-night holiday in Sri Lanka next March includes tickets to watch the Sri Lanka-England Test Series. It costs from £6,895 including flights.
