Affordable Car Hire appoints managing director designate

Affordable Car Hire has appointed Kevin Hall in the new post of managing director designate as part of a shake-up at the company.

Hall will take full responsibility for leading and running all aspects of the day-to-day business, including overseeing operations and strategy.

He will report to Affordable Car Hire founder Angela Day, who retains the title of managing director, but will spend more time as the trade face of the company, working on major accounts, including relationships with agency chains and consortia.

Hall has over 20 years’ car-rental experience, both in online and trade sales.

He joins from insurance4carhire.com, where he was head of commercial.

Hall said: “I will be devoting my energies to developing a robust strategy, which will include reviewing and overseeing the implementation of new technology to drive the business and ensure the continued growth of the company.

“I look forward to working with all stakeholders, new and existing customers and partners for the development of new standards, while creating a new experience for our customers.”

Affordable has also promoted head of commercial Nick Marney to the new position of commercial director and appointed Natalie McLean to commercial marketing manager.

She joins from Teletext Holidays where she was product manager.
