The Co-operative Travel was a major contributor to parent Co-operative Group scooping an award for helping to raise £3.7million for hearing loss charity RNID last year.
The group took the Corporate National Partnership of the Year award at the Charity Times Awards 2010 beating charities such as Macmillan, NSPCC and The Prince’s Trust.
The award was given to the partners following the success of their Charity of the Year Partnership last year.
The funds raised through The Co-operative Charity of the Year for 2009 went towards RNID’s Hear to Help Project, which offers support and guidance to hearing aid users in their local communities.
More than 20 new Hear to Help Projects are being launched this year, which will benefit over 20,000 people who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Travel agency branches were among the group’s businesses involved in fund raising fore the charity.
